“In this era of hyper-partisanship, results oriented leadership is virtually nonexistent. Ed Day is a rare exception. He has staked his positions on merit and not on voter tallies. And he has produced documented results. To his credit he writes highly effective monthly newsletters stating his positions himself. He is not afraid to stand up to special interests. He is a county leader who merits our support. I am a life long independent who has lately voted democratic. I respect Ed Day and what he stands for and will definitely vote for him in the upcoming election and urge others to do the same.”

“Good news: Ed Day will be running … Day was the strongest voice against these budgets since 2008 when the deficit was just $10 million. It is now 10 times that. If Ed Day’s warnings were heeded, we would not be in this fiscal mess with the lowest bond rating of any county in New York state.
-Jack Moolick, Nanuet resident, in a Letter to the Editor of the Journal News, November 19,2012

In your opponent’s concession, he said his hope, had he been elected, was to have increased the communication of the County Government with its citizens. Was he not on your e-mail list? Was he not reading the Journal News, Rockland Review, and Rockland County Times for the past couple of years? In my thirty-year residency in New City, and as one proud to be a registered Democrat, no elected official had ever made the effort to keep me informed of the issues and what was transpiring behind the closed doors of County and Town government like you did. Bravo!!
